· About today’s shape
Open-ocean swell, drawn as the bands it travels in. A swell is not the wave that breaks on a beach; it is the long, low remainder of a storm that may be a thousand miles away and several days past, still carrying that energy forward. Two different periods run through this picture at once, which is why the lines never quite agree.

The board, the names and the positions are kept exactly as they were published. Logos are whatever each site last gave us, and a site that has since been delisted keeps its place in the picture without a link. See who is listed today →
