· About today’s shape
The rays are the oldest lie in the picture and the most useful one. The sun is a disc; it has no spokes. But drawn as a plain circle it reads as a hole, and drawn with rays it reads as a source — so the spokes went onto Neolithic pottery and never came off. What is being drawn is not the sun, but the fact of it being bright.

The board, the names and the positions are kept exactly as they were published. Logos are whatever each site last gave us, and a site that has since been delisted keeps its place in the picture without a link. See who is listed today →
